IT-Operations & DevOps Engineer

(M/F/D – FULL-TIME)

Your tasks

  • Active participation in and implementation of technical and organizational strategies in the IT environment in cooperation with the management
  • Responsibility for tools and processes of the software development lifecycle, from specification and quality assurance to the automated deployment and operation of applications
  • Ownership for the operation of a state-of-the-art CI/CD platform and applications based on Fastlane / Gradle, Azure DevOps / AWS CodePipeline / Bamboo / Jenkins, SonarQube, Appcenter / HockeyApp / Testflight and other tools
  • Technical synchronization and release management of new software and hardware
  • Administration, maintenance and servicing of the local server infrastructure (software and hardware), backups, telephone system and network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, routing, firewalls, VPN)
  • Troubleshooting in case of malfunctions and continuous work on the identification of optimization potentials
  • Support departments with your expertise in projects on network and system level
  • IT contact person both internally and for external service providers, e.g. coordination with the phone system and/or network infrastructure
  • Support the operation of our test automation and enable test driven development by providing tooling to run unit testing to automated UI testing using physical devices, on-site and software-as-a-service solutions (Testproject, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, Saucelabs)

Your profile

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as DevOps-, Infrastructure-Engineer or Sysadmin
  • Successfully completed studies - ideally computer science, business or media informatics
  • Understanding of DevOps cultures and experience with self-organized and autonomous teams
  • Good Windows server and Windows client knowledge as well as very good knowledge of network infrastructure
  • Experience in the administration of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac)
  • Good knowledge of network technologies, firewalls and IT security (Unify, Cisco, Lancom)
  • Initial experience with container orchestration (Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes), continuous integration / build systems (Jenkins, TFS, Bamboo) or connection/administration of services in Azure is of advantage
  • Independent, reliable, quality- and result-oriented working method
  • First experience in the application of test automation technologies
  • Very good understanding of complex issues, excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Interest in continuous training and strong communication skills
  • German language skills at least at C1 level
  • English language skills at least at B2 level
