AWS Engineer - Go/Python/TypeScript


Your Tasks

  • Design and implementation of applications in cloud-native environments on AWS
  • Creation of serverless functions with Go, Python or TypeScript on AWS Lambda
  • Definition and documentation of best practices and strategies regarding release and maintenance on AWS
  • Setting up monitoring stacks with CloudWatch or similar, e.g. DataDog
  • Define service capacity planning strategies
  • Implement application CI/CD pipelines using the AWS CI/CD stack
  • Creation of infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform or Pulumi

Your Profile

  • Experience with core AWS services and underlying principles
  • Good background in Linux/Unix administration
  • Experience with Docker/containerd and Kubernetes. Nice to have: Experience in using ECS, EKS or "Managed Kubernetes"
  • Proficiency in at least one language from our stack: Go, Python or TypeScript
  • Strong understanding of security best practices (e.g. use of IAM roles, KMS, etc.)
  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, Prometheus and the ELK stack
  • Ability to analyse and troubleshoot errors in distributed systems e.g. tracing
  • Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Pulumi or Terraform
  • Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications
  • Nice to have: Experience with various serverless computing approaches using API Gateway and AWS Lambda
