Expanding the competence portfolio: Appsfactory buys stake in Pirates World GmbH

Munich, 6 December 2021 – Appsfactory is entering into a strategic partnership with the Social Media Pirates, an agency of Pirates World GmbH, consolidating its competence portfolio in a key service field. Sustainable consulting and marketing within social media and other channels now joins the existing full-service repertoire for the development of digital products as an exclusive service. The official collaboration began on 1 December 2021.

“Appsfactory is a digital agency brand that has been instrumental in establishing a new category of software in Germany since 2009. But even the best digital product needs a good go-to-market strategy to achieve visibility among potential users. Today, there is no more influential channel for this than social media. With the Social Media Pirates, we have gained one of the most promising up-and-coming social agencies as our partner. This allows us to offer our customers an unbeatable combination of digital product development including a guarantee of success through marketing,” explains Dr Alexander Trommen, Appsfactory’s CEO.

“It’s obvious that both the service ranges and the client portfolio of our two agencies complement each other perfectly. We from the Pirates bring partnerships with Constantin Entertainment, Vorwerk, GEMA as well as Holidaycheck to the table, and are sure that, with our wealth of experience, we can guarantee Appsfactory’s agency clients great added value, whether in terms of classic social media consulting or fully comprehensive performance marketing,” explains Max Anzile, Managing Director of Pirates World GmbH.

Together, the two agencies are aiming for staff growth at Pirates World to 100 social media experts by the end of 2022 and a revenue target of 10 million EUR for 2023.

“However, we are not exclusively concerned with quantitative targets. We want to become the most successful agency bundle in the field of digital product development and marketing that exists in Germany. To this end, every customer who develops a new product with us is offered the service portfolio of the Social Media Pirates directly and exclusively,” Trommen concludes.
