Dr. Alexander Trommen, Appsfactory’s CEO, becomes deputy committee chair of the CCI Committee for Media, IT and Creative Industries
The CCI Committee for Media, IT and Creative Industries elected new committee chairs at the end of September this year. Dr Alexander Trommen, Appsfactory’s CEO, is now deputy chair of the committee. The committee’s head chairperson is Ms Anja Herzog, Managing Director of the TNC Group.
Among other things, the Committee for Media, IT and Creative Industries has set itself the task of preparing strategic decisions in the context of the media, IT and creative industries at the request of the CCI plenary assembly and creating the right framework conditions for discussions and interactions in order to support the relevant departments at the Leipzig location in their further development.
“The CCI committee is an important one in my eyes, as it is particularly concerned with exploiting the potential of the media, IT and creative industries. It is very important to position Leipzig as an innovation location in terms of digitalisation,” explains Dr Alexander Trommen. “I firmly believe that companies like Appsfactory can make an important contribution to the further development of corresponding markets. That is why I am happy to dedicate myself to this task and to be involved wherever we can contribute to the digital innovations for media, IT and the creative industries through discussion, consultation, networking and also through appropriate action,” continues Dr Trommen.
Most recently, the committee had been addressing topics including sustainability, sector attractiveness and the lack of skilled workers as its main fields of work. Dr Trommen’s first task in his new role will be to invite the committee members to a digital whiteboard to discuss and plan perspectives for action in 2022.
