DKV Mobility App wins twice at the German Brand Awards
Leipzig, 13 June 2022 – The DKV Mobility app developed by DKV Euro Service and
Appsfactory has won two awards at the German Brand Awards in the categories “Excellence
in Brand Strategy and Creation” and “Brand Efficiency of the Year”.
“We are delighted that our long-standing partnership with DKV Euro Service has been
recognised with two German Brand Awards. Digitalisation is also one of the driving forces in
the mobility and logistics sector, and smart digital solutions can make an important
contribution to the energy transition. This is why this area is close to our hearts and we will
continue to focus intensively on it in the future,” says Appsfactory COO Dr Roman Belter.
Among other things, the app offers DKV Mobility customers convenient access to around
285,000 charging points with DKV Mobility acceptance throughout Europe, including a
contactless payment function. In addition to a transparent cost overview, the app also
includes integrated route planning that takes parameters such as vehicle type and battery
status into account. This allows users to conveniently plan their journey and charging stops.
In addition, the DKV Mobility App offers access to around 67,000 conventional petrol stations
– including, to date, approximately 2,000 petrol stations where the fuel bill can be paid
contactlessly via the DKV Mobility App’s payment function.
Developed with an eye to the future
The application is representative of the long-standing innovation partnership with the full-
service digital agency Appsfactory. The expansion of the app functions will take place via
webviews or integrated websites in the native iOS or Android context and will also act as the
basis for the next major release in the course of 2022.
About the German Brand Awards
Holistic. Substantiated. Neutral: The German Brand Award makes brand successes visible in
a unique way. Its jury members and awarding bodies are independent, and its criteria are
communicated transparently. A gross reach of over 315 million contacts, the broad positive
response from companies, agencies and service providers as well as over 1,200 entries
show how great the interest is in the award for excellent brand management. The German
Brand Award is a contest organised by the German Brand Institute. The Institute was
founded by the German Design Council and the company GMK Markenberatung to
strengthen brand management as a decisive success factor for companies against the
background of a national and international competitive environment. It views itself as a
positive catalyst for the German brand economy, uniting the most important brand makers
and stimulating intra-brand dialogues. With its German Brand Award, the Institute presents
one of the most important German brand-related prizes in Germany.
