Digital transformation in the music industry: Rammstein commissions Appsfactory to develop an app




The Rammstein band now has its own app, which improves the digital customer experience. Far more than half of all users of LIFAD – the official Rammstein fan club – now access the corresponding websites and forums via smartphones. To take user experience to a new level, the band decided to develop a mobile app with additional functionalities, in addition to the mobile-friendly website. Close collaboration resulted in a sophisticated concept of a digital fan loyalty and communication program. This makes Rammstein an innovator in the digital domain as well. The worldwide release of the mobile app took place in July.

With concert news, community updates, and other band announcements, the official Rammstein app keeps fans up-to-date. The interactive application provides a good overview of all important information to do with Rammstein. It includes special features, such as a display of tour dates with presale options at a glance, and a music player for playing all albums and singles via services such as Spotify Premium or Apple Music.

Rammstein fans also benefit from the integration of the LIFAD community into the app, which allows them to chat directly with other devotees of the band. Users receive exclusive in-chat information on competitions and key announcements. Another extra feature is RammsteinShop. It offers official merchandise for direct purchase via the app.
