Devotional App for iOS and Android: Food for Thought for People on the Go

Working on behalf of the Medienhaus, a charitable media center affiliated with the Lutheran Church, the APPSfactory has deployed a mobile app that provides new devotional materials each and every day in audio, video and text formats, all under the motto “inspirational, spirited, day for day.”

 

App users are offered food for thought to get every day off to the right start, all 365 days of the year. Lutheran pastors furnish devotional messages via video, audio or text files. Topics vary, are added to on a regular basis and cover many aspects of daily life, dealing with the difficulties and changes we face in life, as well as with matters of faith and thankfulness. The content offers the ideal source material for morning and evening prayers, which people interested in spiritual matters can draw on even when they’re on the go.

 

Thanks to the app’s integrated reminder feature, users are able to take out a little time each day for peaceful reflection and spiritual regeneration. By creating a personal favorites list, users can play back the devotional messages they like best, which they can watch or listen to anytime in offline mode. Other practical features include information displaying the date, day of the week and current weather conditions. Users are also able to search the app for specific devotionals, which are organized by topic and category. Especially inspiring devotionals can be shared with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter or email.
