Leipzig, 3 May 2022 – Appsfactory wins four golden German Stevie® Awards for the news
application “KSTA – Nachrichten”. The app was a joint development with the Cologne-based
daily newspaper Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.
Success in relevant categories
This year, the more than 400 applications were evaluated by around 50 jurors sitting on five
committees. The news app “KSTA – Nachrichten” picked up golden trophies in the categories
“User Experience”, “Social Issues”, “News” and “Integrated Mobile Experience”.
Dr Alexander Trommen, Appsfactory’s CEO, explains: “The German Stevie® Awards are a set
of prestigious business prizes which highlight the successful nature of any project submitted.
We are very proud to have won the golden trophy four times, as it once again underlines the
quality of our work.” Says Jan Nowak, VP Media & AI at Appsfactory: “Personalisation and local
relevance are playing an increasingly important role for our customers from the media sector.
The award confirms Appsfactory’s successful orientation in the field of digitalisation and
further media development.”
The application offers users in the greater Cologne area personalised and hyperlocal news,
which consolidates the distinctive regional reference of the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper in
the digital world.
