Appsfactory wins double gold at the German Stevie Awards 2019

The winners of the fifth German Stevie Awards were announced on 7 March 2019. Appsfactory can build on last year’s success and celebrate winning gold in the “Entertainment” and “Travel” categories for the mobile apps WoodieHoo Tierfreunde and ABOUT BERLIN.

Since 2015, the German Stevie Awards have been regarded as a top-class award for the German business world. Outstanding achievements are honoured in over 80 categories, from Manager and Marketing Campaign of the Year to Product of the Year. This year’s award ceremony will take place on 3 May 2019 at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in Munich.

ABOUT BERLIN, developed by Appsfactory for visitBerlin, received above-average ratings from the jury of this year’s German Stevie Awards, meaning it was able to hold its own against the competition in the “Travel” category. According to the jury’s assessment, the app excels thanks to its outstanding execution, excellent design and great visuals. One of the jury’s comments reflects the consistently positive ratings: “Fantastic idea. Looks great. Excellent execution! A digital travel guide that combines history and modernity at the same time and thus even makes a contribution to general education. Brilliant!”.

In the “Entertainment” category, WoodieHoo Tierfreunde managed to convince the jury and prevail against the other entries with its intuitive and target-group oriented design and appealing layout. One of the jury’s verdicts that backs up this positive feedback: “Lovingly and creatively executed, with great characters.”
