Appsfactory rated by FOCUS BUSINESS as “Top mid-size employer of 2020”

Great news for Appsfactory: Germany’s leading agency in app development, which currently boasts nearly 200 employees, has officially been named one of the most attractive employers among mid-sized companies for 2020. Every year, Focus Business grants businesses the title of “Top mid-size employer” based on about 900,000 company profiles and the corresponding employer evaluations filled out by employees on the kununu evaluation portal.

In addition to a high average assessment score, employee count and the recommendation rate are also decisive for a good Focus Score placement. Appsfactory scores 3.92 out of 5 stars and has a 94% recommendation rate. The agency is thus rated above average and, from the perspective of employees and competitors, is one of the best employers in this industry in Germany. “We are very pleased about our selection as one of the top mid-size employers of 2020,” states Dr. Alexander Trommen, the agency’s CEO, “primarily because this distinction shows that our employees work with us to tackle challenges and goals and value our modern, open team culture.” When assessing individual aspects, employees at the four locations in Leipzig, Hamburg, Munich, and Erfurt emphasised interesting projects, the company’s positive image, equality, mutual respect in their work environment, as well as a pleasant work atmosphere in modern offices. During the last fiscal year, Appsfactory hired up to eight new software developers, designers, project managers, app testers, and QA engineers each month. The quickly growing team was a challenge to both employees and the employer – free German and English courses helped employees from more than 25 different countries to understand one another, and team events such as “Hispanic Evening” with Portuguese music and Spanish tapas helped them to bring together their countries’ cuisine and culture. Even in its eleventh year of operation, typical hallmarks of start-ups such as flat hierarchies, ping-pong tables, dartboards, and free beverages and fruits still shape daily working life in this company, whose employees complete large-scale projects for customers such as Tagesschau, Daimler, and Porsche using the most innovative technologies. Even more hiring is planned for 2020 – according to Isabel Kick, HR Manager for Appsfactory, these new team members need to possess traits such as “motivation and technical expertise, communication skills, flexibility, and a willingness to learn,” which are the qualities that characterise the company’s team.

Appsfactory thanks all its employees for the trust placed in the company and for their positive evaluations and is looking forward to finding more motivated applicants for all divisions. Interested candidates can find current vacancies in all divisions at www.appsfactory.de/jobs
